Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between split and extract?
Splitting divides the entire PDF into parts, whereas extracting lets you choose specific individual pages (e.g., page 3, 5, and 12) to save as a new separate PDF.
Can I extract pages into separate files?
Yes, you can choose to extract the selected pages into a single combined PDF, or save each extracted page as its own individual PDF file.
Does extracting delete pages from the original PDF?
No, your original PDF remains completely unchanged. A new PDF is generated containing only the pages you selected for extraction.
Can I drag and drop pages to change their order before extraction?
The extraction keeps the original sequence, but you can use our Organize PDF Pages tool to reorder them as needed.
Will links and annotations on the extracted pages work?
Yes, all internal links, references, text highlights, and annotations present on those pages are carried over to the new file.
