Our redaction tool permanently blur the selected text and images from the PDF's source code, making it impossible for anyone to undo or recover the redacted information.

Should I keep a copy before redacting?
Yes. Keep the original file separately in case you need the unredacted version later.
Will the redacted areas look blacked out?
No. Instead of black boxes, the redacted areas are covered with highly blurred blocks to conceal the content.
Does redaction protect against copy-pasting the text?
Yes, because the text is completely removed from the underlying file structure, it cannot be copy-pasted.
